In my neighborhood, we have pine and oak trees surrounding us and there are many manzanita shrubs too. Now is the time that the manzanita bark peels off, and when that first happens the bark underneath is green. So during the past couple of weeks, I’ve been photographing their bark details. I have photographed bark patterns for decades now so I started to edit together a small portfolio of my favorites. Enjoy, and please let me know your favs below in the comments.
