WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR IMAGES TO SAY?<\/span><\/div>\n

“Standing behind your camera, looking through the<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
viewfinder, what inside there inspires you? What<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
do you want to say? Choices such as what light or<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
weather you photograph in will help you create an<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
emotive image. Is what I see now the best option, or<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
do I need to come back in different light or during<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
another season? Dramatic lighting during a clearing<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
storm? Soft, subtle light on a cloudy day? During<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
sunrise or sunset?<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n

I love making high-key images re: the dogwood image below. My intent with<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

them is to reflect the quiet, slow-paced meditative<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

experience that I often have when exploring nature.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I love making peaceful and serene images. I strive<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
to distill those aspects of nature that whisper rather<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
than shout.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

nature makes me want to shout. And howl with joy, like the recent morning at Inspiration Point.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Subtlety was not in order; a shout not<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

a whisper was required. <\/span> I am hoping my rendition<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

of the scene translates the power and awe I felt at<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
